Christmas Crafts

Today we went to the kids's school and did thier annual Christmas Crafts day!! This is the 2nd year that we have gone to it. The kids get to make 10 things each and most are for them to give away as gifts to other people. It costs us $10 for the family to get in and for everyone to make something!! This year they had some way cute things for the kiddos to do! We started off making scarfs and decorating wooden picture frames then moved onto making a hotchocolate cone. We then went and made some way cute vinyl placemats. The kids used ink on thier hands and stamped them on the placemats. Then they had a lady writing their names and the year. Then they got to weave ribbon through it and tie a bow!! So cute!!! After that the each got to make chocolate chip cookie jar!! And decorate the lid and a tag for giving. They were able to make a snowman magnet notebook, and a snowman lapel pin. They dipped plastic spoons in chocolate and sprinkles to make a special stir stick!! The do this really cute advent calendar thing where they have candies for the days left in december and a cool board that is cut out to help with putting together. Anyway you take a piece of saran wrap...a good length and you lie it down. then you put 15 different candies down in line. Then you wrap the saran wrap around the candy and tie each section with curling ribbon! Then each night you cut off a section and have your candy!! This year they also made Christmas Swags. That was the most popular spot so I just took the stuff and we will make them at home! We had good time!! K$A and family came with us and then we went and enjoyed Arby's afterwards!!!
