This last weekend was awesome! I was able to be with a good friend in the temple as her and her hubby took out their endowments and then witness thier family being sealed together for time and all eternity!! It was an awesome experience. It always takes me back to the day that Dh and I were married and what an awesome blessing it is to be a member of His church! Congrats D, S, M, B and E. We love You!!
We made homemade pizza this time. T and M brought a very yummy salad, K and A brought homemade garlic rolls, G and M brought dessert...a chocolate lava cake and a very yummy strawberry cheesecake concotion!! Mom and Dad brough drinks for all. There were a few extra people this go around. T brought two girls from France that are here as exchange students. We also had our friends over since we were celebrating Sh's 12th birthday. We also celebrated S's 8th birthday! I can't believe it!! We had a great time!!!
Like usual, the kids have had lots of fun in the pool this year! We've had lots of neighbor kids over. I've even felt like swimming this year. It's been great fun and a great form of exercise. I can feel it in my legs. Too bad we can't keep it open all year. It would be a blast. This year the water is extra cold cause the heater is not working at the moment, but that hasn't stopped anyone from getting in!
We went camping this year at Barton Park. We had a very enjoyable time, and we didn't have to worry about work or anything, it was GREAT!! We went on a Friday and came home on a Monday. I'm ready to do it again. Saturday some of our friends came out and hung out with us for dinner and smores. Saturday night they had movies in the park and had a big inflatable movie screen and played the BEE Movie. We had fun watching the movie sittin on the grass! Sunday we had a visit from DH's brother and family. They went down to the river with us and the kids had fun splashing around in the cold river!!
We went to the church at 8:00am on the fourth for a flag raising ceremony and a light breakfast. It has something we have been doing every year since we moved in. It's a good thing for the kids to realize why we celebrate the 4th of July. I worked on the 4th so DH and the kids had thier own little 4th celebration. Sp loved the fireworks!! On Sunday we had our family celebration and did more fireworks. I couldn't believe how Sp was. He was crazy with the sparklers. He was swinging them around and wacked himself on the head, threw down his sparkler which I in turn stepped on and burnt the bottom of my toe!! But it was great. We had to keep a close eye on him, he wanted to run out there and get the fountains while they were going off!! Crazy kid!!
These are old pics but I was downloading pics and found them on there. The newest craze is Webkins! The kids love them, I just wish they weren't so expensive!! Here's pics the kids took while I wasn't looking!!
Ok so I didn't realize it had been over a month since I last blogged...how horrible for me and you!! :) Anyway...I had all these pictures on the camera that I wanted to blog on. So I go to get the camera and download the pictures and by golly they weren't there anymore. Seems my darling Jn got ahold of the camera while I was at work and took a bunch of pictures and then deleted what he thought was all of his pictures, when in reality it was ALL the pics on the camera. Sooooo sad. I had cute pics of the kids and DH on Father's Day, and lots of other stuff. Oh well I guess. So, I have a short minute to do a post and let you all know that I haven't forgotten about all my readers!!! We're still here and still doing well. I will try to post more in the coming days!
