Labor Day Weekend....

was a washout!! We had our friends over Sunday...we were gonna pitch a tent in the backyard and sleep outside with the kids. We went and bought a fire pit and started the fire. Got the weinies roasted and then it started to downpour. We finished our dinner inside and the kids pitched tents in the basement and Dan and Shaye went home. Sunday morning we were up bright and early, Dan and Shaye came back over at 9:00am for breakfast. We made pancakes, eggs and bacon. The kids thought it was a blast. After a couple of hours of girl shopping on Labor day, we came back for lunch and then went and shopped some more and then came back and got dinner started. BBQ'd some yummy steaks, had corn on the cob, baked potatoes and rolls. Of course Labor Day the weather was just the perfect weather for homemade ice cream!! All in all we had a great time!!!
